I will dominate 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for next month's bout.
Former twice world boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather attacked former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
However, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's greatest financial successes, consistently making huge earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
